Oh Boy by Brainy O’Bee

Oh Boy by Brainy O’Bee

Of all things I could have been,
Maybe a god in a world so mean,
A dot, a revolution, a change,
A dollar, a pound or their change,
I became nothing but a boy!

An old boy stands in my way,
With lessons of becoming a man in a day,
How to discredit wants for needs
And what to put before a boy’s greed,
Yet I became nothing but a boy!

What I dreamt to become differs,
for I have outgrown what everyone refers,
a man to a boy, an old soul to a young heart,
to remain complacent, I cherish no part,
’cause I became nothing but a boy!

Of all things I could have been,
From a beauty the world has never seen,
To a power the world has so much desired,
I have remained undesired, unused and tired
Of becoming nothing but a boy!
