Black Lives Matter – Viki
Before you point that gun,
Remember I’m somebody’s son,
I did not choose this colour,
But I take pride in this culture.
Black or white we are all the same,
Same blood flows in our veins,
So when you subject us to shame,
We question if you’re sane.
Right now you feel you’ve prospered,
So you oppress and make us bitter,
One day you’ll wish you had never,
Till then shall we say Wakanda forever.
There is something about lyric and rhyme that begs for an accoustic accompaniment.
Simple and straight forward, applause befits the effort of the poet to rhyme.
Black Lives Matter!
