Deserted – Nancy Mutheu

Deserted – Nancy Mutheu

Deserted – Nancy Mutheu
With its cloudy vision;
Unable to see clearly,
They all disappeared,
Left stranded by the road.
Tears easily fell,
On the very dusty road,
Its legs shorter than before,
Unable to dry the tears.
Tears fell freely,
Like a heavy downpour,
It lay under the tree,
Fell into deep sleep.
It was kind of peaceful,
A bird’s stool fell on its face,
Woke it from the deep slumber
It was short, but satisfactory.
Birds were singing happily,
As if to mock its plight
Had to find a way forward;
For it was time!
