As a young beauty
She falls in love
And marries
Suits on gravidity
She has children
And goes into senility
Withers away and becomes
Sickening to look upon
All in a flash.
Inspired by a reading of Naguib Mahfouz.
The poem, as brief as it is, tells of the scenic wandering of a woman. A very long life surmised in a short concise verse. A flash.
