When the Corona Pandemic was aired in our media outlets, it was quite unusual that the globe’s response was massive. Everyone got busy and bought soaps and sanitizers. Some of the critical thinkers went on and bought immense amounts of shopping for their families. To begin with, breaking news was indeed breaking news, as compared to now where most of us are getting desperate especially on earning income. Some of us are now with their families for the first time in years. It such a blessing as the miniature devil pubs, which were draining and shrinking families’ primarily young families, came to a sudden halt. Hence, the question begs as to whether this Covid-19 Pandemic is a curse or a blessing in disguise.
From Wuhan, the Covid-19 Flu came to be and the world came to a sudden stop. President Donald Trump of the United States of America initiated scientific research and funded the cause with the very hope that the best medical researchers could come up with a vaccine or something that could stop and kill the deadly virus. Days went by and patience started running out. Causalities became significant as hospitals packed patients even in reception areas. The death toll started rising and governments panicked, as they were losing prominent people. United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson was diagnosed with the Corona Virus; nonetheless, he recovered after seeking treatment.
It is true that the disease has shaken world economies in the most and has affected the livelihood of the elderly in the villages. Masks have become typical with kids in the hood boasting of the one with the most colourful design. I mean, people have made peace with the deadly poison the illness serves you once one fails to conform to the guidelines stipulated by their government. It is still crucial as the very first day you learnt of the dangers of the COVID- 19 to sanitize, wash your hands, and wear a mask if you go out to public places.
The virus can infect anyone regardless of age, weight, social class, and even academic accolades. It remains crucial to sanitize our hands and avoid touching entry points in our faces, i.e. mouth, nose, and ears.
One lesson we could learn from the Post Corona Era is about money. It is clear that money is the soap of the heart: That is a ghetto proverb right there! With money, we could do so many things our hearts and minds desire. It is at such a point that many people across the globe have realized the importance of savings and investments. It is though YouTube that I saw food being delivered using a broomstick. One person was at the door with the other at the staircase dishing out a bag of fries. That was in the United States. Here in our own Africa, people are their enemies. Go to our markets, and you will see vendors breaking the social distance rule and exchanging vegetables and fruits without any care of being infected let alone prevention!
Lessons we could learn about this Covid-19 era is that money is important, save, and invest. Two, sanitizing is key, as the virus will die. Three, wear your mask in case you have to get anything from the store. It would be quite pleasant to have you the reader safe and sound. Keep Sanitizing!
